At Ebben Pigeons, we are always proud when our pigeons prove their quality outside our own loft and race results. It is a great compliment when other fanciers achieve success with our bloodlines 

Recently, we received a wonderful message from Willy and William Geurtz from Haalderen following the final races of 2025. They reported some impressive achievements in both the natour and young bird competitions. 

Yesterday the semi-final of the prestigious Algarve Golden Race took place, with no fewer than 3,864 pigeons competing. The Hoogeveen Brothers from Ochten (NL) achieved a fantastic result by winning 4th prize, earning €8,000 in prize money. 

It is well known that our pigeons have been performing extremely well in the AS Golden OLR in Greece. In recent years, we ourselves only participated in the Winter Race, where we achieved remarkable results – including three consecutive years in the top 5 

Last Saturday, the 2025 season in Section 8 came to a close. For us, this marks the end of an eventful racing year. Time to look back on a season filled with highlights, but also with its fair share of challenges. 

Last weekend, Frans Strikker added another fine victory to his impressive record. From Dizy le Gros (353 km) he won 1st and 2nd Provincial against 5,032 pigeons.
