This spring Jelle Jellema got some eggs from us. He is of course known for his performances in the marathon, but he also wanted some pigeons for the one loft races to cross with his own strain. He came to us because of our performances in the one loft races and one-day long distance races. To select them, he will race our pigeons from 100-700 kms.

From the first race the pigeons from our loft came home well, but expectations were not very high, since these pigeons are not darkened and were only born at the end of March.

To our surprise, and perhaps to Jelle's as well, he won 3rd and 4th Provincial (Afd. 9/NPO) yesterday against 4,854 pigeons (1st and 2nd vs 1,026 pigeons), with pigeons that only had two old feathers. His first three pigeons were directly from us.



The 3rd Provincial against 4,854 pigeons was won by NL24-8141007, a grandson of "Linus" and "Pandemic".  His father is NL23-9147666 and won among others 2. Provincial Chimay 11,374 pigeons, 1. Bierges 2,939 pigeons, 7. Sourdun 6,094 pigeons and so on. He also became 1. Provincial Ace Pigeon Natour in Afdeling 8/GOU. The mother of 008 is NL23-9147668 "Suzanne" and became 6. Overall Ace Pigeon in our combine (Regio ZW, Afd. 8) this year. Click here to see the full pedigree.

The 4th Provincial against 4,854 pigeons was won by NL24-8141006 and that's a youngster of NL23-9147633 "Super 33" which was 5. National Ace Pigeon youngsters NPO, 1. Ace Pigeon Youngsters Combine (2, Prov. Afd. 8), 1. Ace Pigeon Short Distance Combine (2. Prov. Afdeling 8) and he is is currently 2. in the intermediate standings of the Best Yearling of the Netherlands ("De Allerbeste"). The mother of 008 is a granddaughter to "LInus" and won among others 12. Gray 10,043 pigeons, 28. Bierges 11.333 pigeons, 32. Issoudun 8,840 pigeons and 62. Niergnies 9,870 pigeons. "Linus" is in the pedigree of both pigeons that won in the top 10 Provincial for Jellema last weekend. He is also (grand)father of many top pigeons in the one loft races (1st Final As Golden 2024, 1st Semi-final AS Golden 2024, 1st Semi-final AS Golden 2023, 1st Ultimate 600 Race Avirings) and program races (among others Olympiad and National Ace "Pizza" and her nestbrother "Pandemic" which won 4 x 1st in big compeititon).

We hope that our pigeons will give Jelle a lot of pleasure in the one-day long distance next year and will help him further with his one loft racing ambitions!
