Peter Pennekamp Wins 1st NPO Châteaudun (4,490 pigeons) with Descendant of “Phantom”

This past Monday, the second one-day long-distance race from Châteaudun (543 km) took place. The winner was Peter Pennekamp with his first nominated hen NL24-8215642, achieving a speed of 1504 m/min.

This hen is a full sister to the best young bird in the Netherlands in the 2020 competition 'De Allerbeste' (NL20-1257862). We’re proud to have played a small role in this success: the grandfather of the winner is NL09-1974766 "Phantom"bred by us and now the foundation cock of Peter’s loft.

The winning hen had previously also taken 1st Soissons against 975 birds, confirming her exceptional quality. For her pedigree click here.

Peter Pennekamp, a top fancier on the one-day long-distance races in previous years, proved with this result that he's back at the top: 12 birds entered, 12 prizes – with half of them per ten.

We’re proud to be part of this impressive achievement!
