Last weekend, Frans Strikker from Hengelo added another fine victory to his impressive record. From Dizy le Gros (353 km) he won 1st and 2nd Provincial against 5,032 pigeons.

The winner, NL25-1030832 “Double Dizy”, is bred from “Dark Pandemic” (a son of Pandemic x Always), a pairing that we created together especially for the occasion. Both parents distinguished themselves with five top-10 Provincial prizes each. For her pedigree click here.

The dam of “Double Dizy” is “Dizy”, a hen from Frans’ foundation pair—two direct pigeons from our loft that already produced seven (grand)children with 1st (semi-)Provincial victories.

The second pigeon, NL25-1030814 “Fons Girl”, is out of proven breeder “Coen” (bred from two of our direct pigeons) paired with “Andreas Choice”, who was 7th Best Middle Distance Pigeon WHZB and winner of, among others, 1st Provincial Duffel against 13,249 pigeons. For her pedigree click here.

Interestingly, “Evolution” appears in both pedigrees, which is reflected in their striking pied colors. Frans only has two pied pigeons in his race team, making it quite remarkable that they arrived home together. Evolution is now nearly 17 years old and is enjoying her well-deserved retirement at Monick Nys in Arendonk. She is still remarkably vital and receives extra daily care and attention from Monick (see video).

A few weeks earlier, Frans already scored with NL25-1032062, who won 1st Tongeren against 2,490 pigeons. This pigeon is bred from a son of Piet x Peke, paired with a hen who is a sister to Frans’ famous “Always.” For her pedigree click here.
