Yesterday the semi-final of the prestigious Algarve Golden Race took place, with no fewer than 3,864 pigeons competing. The Hoogeveen Brothers from Ochten (NL) achieved a fantastic result by winning 4th prize, earning €8,000 in prize money.

The winning pigeon is 50% Ebben-blooded. The father was bred by the Hoogeveen Brothers out of our well-known Cyrus (NL07-1513778, son of Roosje), which we gave to them as a gift at an advanced age. He was paired to a daughter of Diablo, a direct son of Cyrus and also the father of our top pigeon Linus.

The mother of the 4th prize winner comes from Mark & Geert Pollin. The Pollin x Ebben combination once again proves to be a golden cross: Bart and Thijs Hoogeveen have already achieved several fine results with this mix in One Loft Races, and this latest performance further underlines the strength of these bloodlines.
