Recently, we received a wonderful message from Willy and William Geurtz from Haalderen following the final races of 2025. They reported some impressive achievements in both the natour and young bird competitions.

In the natour, they finished with:

• 1st and 2nd in the federation

• 2nd and 3rd in the region against 1,428 pigeons (just a few seconds behind Eijerkamp)

• Grandmaster in the region

In the young bird races, the results were equally impressive:

• 1st in the federation with 10 prizes from 10 pigeons entered

• Grandmaster in the region

• Grandmaster of the federation (2nd nationally)

The winning pigeon in the natour, 052, comes directly from the new foundation hen NL20-1302209 “Daughter Lady Guusje,” a daughter of Marnix x Lady Guusje, and won 1st prize in the club. The 2nd prize winner, 952, comes on the maternal side from the same line, namely a sister of 052.

Notably, this hen has already produced 11 first prizes across the first and second generations. Her regular partner (NL09-413) unfortunately passed away a few months ago, but she has already produced excellent offspring with another cock as well.

A beautiful proof that this line continues to stand out and that pairing it with other pigeons repeatedly produces strong results.
